Mail won't take links

Mail acts this way for me too, but only in this way - the first link in my message is always clickable, all the others aren't. If I make a message that has lots of links, and I want them to all be clickable as I write the message, I have to use the command, under the Edit menu, to Add Hyperlink. Then they all work before the message is sent. It's normal behavior.
