When I have a curiosity about an old item value, I look for a couple of items on eBay that are same or similar and put them on "Watch" to see how much they go for. I did this for my old Pioneer receiver in the garage. I was going to ewaste it since I never use it. Found out it is worth up to $100 or more if in good working condition on eBay. Parts are even sold separately if the unit is bad (switches, internal components, etc.).
