Meg Whitman's former housekeeper was an undocumented worker and claims working for the Republican candidate for Governor

Meg has already lost a big lawsuit for shoving and verbally harassing a female Ebay employee, so more revelations that she has temper management problems and is a jerk as a boss aren't going to change anyone's mind.

I recall hearing of it, too. Did she really get away with it? I didn't think she did.

There was no lawsuit. It was an internal dispute that was settled and the 'victim' went back to work at ebay and has only positive things to say about whitman.

Forgive me for thinking that a big, fat payoff could have caused that.

yeah, well maybe, but the victim is STILL at ebay and said nice things about her when the story was made public in June 2010. Meg has been gone since 2008. She didn't have to do that. If she was spiteful, she could have hurt Meg. And the victim's title is "senior manager for corporate and executive communications" - no doubt she takes in a lot more than that settlement every year. Settlement was 'around' $200k.

I just go bonkers when posters massage info to better fit their position - EVEN WHEN I AGREE with the position.

Ahh, so it technically wasn't a lawsuit. It was a settlement before a lawsuit? Probably.

In any case, it was a settlement, causing Meg to buy someone off. In most cases, these types of settlements also require the person not say anything bad about the person forking over the payout. I suppose I wouldn't have much bad to say about someone that just loaded up my bank account.

Also, I'm guessing it's not much of a coincidence that the person is still at Ebay and Meg isn't. Now if they were both there (and Meg hadn't also been bought out and asked to leave) that'd be surprising. I'd also guess retaining her job could have been part of the settlement, too.

Maybe the victim wasn't allowed to leave negative feedback.

$23 an hour 9 years ago for sitting around? How do I become illegal?

I always wondered how you became legal.
I always wondered why they let ungrateful Americans like you who have nothing good to say about this country stay here while millions of illegals who actually believe in America are in hiding. Pray I don't make it to the Congress.
