Same here.

But I still think he's funny. He's older now so he doesn't do a lot of his earlier schtick. He also used to be a jerk, treating more than a few guests pretty rotten. But he's outgrown that.

Ferguson is the only other guy I'll watch. Even then I have back away for a while. Everybody else dips way too deep and often into the Sophomoric Well for their bits. They remind me of the current SNL people, not at all funny.

I find Leno bad on just about every level except maybe his monolog. He can't interview his way out of a paper bag.

I remember going out to see Leno in the 80's and he was blisteringly funny. Major funny. Make you hoarse funny. I try to remember those days. Dave is funny to me still.

Agreed.

Those were the days.

I never saw him in person, but I did see all the time on Johnny Carson, even his first time in the infamous green suit. He did great standup. And he was pretty good as a guest host.

I thought I'd really like his show when he took over for Johnny, but I didn't.
