Facebook, how do you use it?

I have to confess I'm not sure about the fortune cookie or horoscope thing.

Is it on your news feed along with the status updates or over to the right with the ads?

This is something else I don't bother with.

It's in the news feed, basically like the other status updates, it's not an ad.

My daughter "forced" me to sign up a couple years ago, actually, she signed me up. Is cool just for finding and saying hi to old school friends, etc. When a close by relative told us that my daughter was traveling to a volleyball tournament in college, my wife asked how she knew, and the answer was facebook, so Now I rarely post, like here, but check every day just to see what's going on, just like here.

Then they are from Friends to you. I think I blocked them long ago is why I was confused.

I used it for awhile and it was a good way to find out what family and friends where up to. I finally did quit though due to the ever changing security problems with facebook. They are just determined to trick people into sharing information they do not want to share. It's an unethical company and I won't do anything with them.

You've definitely gotta be selective with who you're friends with.
I block a lot of stuff & several people whose crap clogs up the newsfeed.
I never play games, I don't accept pokes or prods, & know better than to "Like" a story just be able to continuing reading it. No doubt it's great for keeping up with some people & I post a lot of pictures there.

My former mail-lady is currently driving from Birmingham to Seattle & has been posting to FB along the way from her iPhone & iPad. Today she posted a sunset photo taken while driving & was humorously scolded for not paying attention to the road. I like the way FB tags each of her posts with either "sent from my iPhone" or "sent from my iPad."
