For a lot of people it is a cycle that needs to be broken. Changing eating habbits isn't enough. They need exorcise. But they can't exorcise because they're morbidly obese. Anything that breaks the cycle is a good idea.

I hope it works for him. That said, I have to admit to wondering if this relates to any future professional aspirations he has (he said carefully, trying to avoid having this moved to the other side)

kudos to Christie for attending to his health. he was probably also advised that this could also positively impact his political future.

I agree on both counts.

HeHe. I'm not sure how I did that, but I obviously did it twice. I've been watching the TV show Supernatural, so I'll blame that...or maybe it was solar flares.

As you all know, I had gastric banding surgery almost 3 years ago (can't believe it has been that long!) I wish him the best of luck and hope he has a good team around him to help him through this journey.

As I've said over and over and over and over again: The band does not control WHAT you eat. All it does is slow down how quickly you can eat and can limit how much you eat. There are many ways to eat "around" the band and unfortunately, many people do this.

In case anyone is wondering, I'm holding at 65-70lbs down. Would like to lose another 20 or so, but that may take another 3 years. Smile
