'14 Civic Wagon. I'd Maybe Buy One.

Ah, you want a "hot hatch". Golf R? AWD (though probably a FWD bias), manual option, 2 or 4 door, 256hp.

On the used market (and several years old) is the Audi S4 Avant, though I hear the maintenance on the V8 in those can be pricey.

Could they have made the Honda any uglier?

The X1 looks sweeeet.

What you talking about. Honda already makes the ugly Crosstour. Seen many of these hatchbacks on the road.

Yes, but there are way too many "hot hatches" that are not available in the US. If it was a turbo version of the 5 cylinder, it would be near perfect. As is, it is either too heavy or not enough power. I think they went with the 4 cylinder because a 5 cylinder version would put the TT RS to shame on performance/price.

If I ever had to own a car again I'd love to find one of these in pristine condition:

That one looks better than the new one.

Was that the 3-cylinder? It moved pretty well for a 3...

I don't think Honda ever made a 3 cylinder. Are you thinking of a Chevy Sprint maybe?

Ah, the venerable Honda Civic, now bloated and supersized to the point that the current model is still saddled with a 4 cylinder even though it is longer and heavier than the 1995 Accord, which Honda took pity on it and gave it a V6. A V6 Civic SI wagon might be close to a worthy competitor, though I would likely prefer a Fit Si AWD.

Well, yes, we live in the US, so go big or go home. Just admit defeat and buy a Cadillac CTS-V wagon with a manual (while you still can). Smile
