why do you have these issues? is this something specific to PRIUS?
Yes. The Prius v3 that I have, does not "squeegee" the side windows when you roll them down. The outside humidity here is so high that if you run the AC for any period of time, you'll get a lot of condensation on the outsides of the windows, which can really reduce visibility and pose a driving hazard. It's a design oversight, as far as I'm concerned.
