Downloading songs 1 at a time on my iFlan and it's taking more time than it should. How about a download album button? In the spot where this type of download option usually exists, there is just the "Purchased" word grayed out.

Make sure that you are signed into the iTunes Store when you follow the link to the U2 album.
Hover your cursor over the "purchased" button and type Command+R to refresh the page.
You'll have about a half-second to click on the button when it briefly reads "free" instead of "purchased."
If you click at the right moment then iTunes will automatically start downloading the album.

Finally getting it now. I had to double-click on the Free button to get the download started. Thanks!

It sounds exactly like a U2 album.

This is frustrating. I still can't get it. I go to the store, find it and it says "purchased". I go to my 'purchased' but it's not there. I try the trick above of CMD-R and clicking, but all it does is tells me it's purchased.
What a clusterf***!
As bad as the keynote streaming fiasco.
Why promise something if you can't deliver?
:::Edit:::
I just right-clicked on 'Purchased' and selected "check for available downloads" and it tells me that all items have been downloaded for this Apple ID. WTF?????
:::Edit:::
Finally figured it out. I had to go to iTunes > Preferences > 'Store' tab, and check "Show iTunes in the Cloud purchases".
