I don't think Bono's voice has changed much. He's always been kind of a great singer and a not so great singer at the same time. His voice and singing don't really hold up to scrutiny outside of the context of the iconic great songs we know and love.
If anyone has time, here's a video with the best singers in Ireland (Liam! Glen! *swoon*) and if you didn't know who Bono was you'd be like "what?"
