No, they put release dates as per marketing above all else. I would say they put compatibility about half way down the list. They often break stuff with with their own patches, let alone major releases.

I have been pointing folks here (and elswhere) to the occasional "Enterprise Mac" article for the last 2 years or so.

Most folks can't seem to be bothered taking the time to read them...
