The AppleCare guy was pretty firm: he couldn't help.

Shame on Apple for putting him into that position. And that after I was on hold for an hour.

At least this morning when I tried again, they had it right on their recording: the guys here can't and won't help you, you must go through the web page.

That kept me from waiting another hour on hold, anyway.

But it still didn't fix the problem, because the web page was completely broken. Still is, from what I can tell. My battery s/n still comes back as invalid, although it's smack in the middle of the numbers they give on the page.

If Dell screwed up like this, you would be here lording it over them, giggling your fool head off with your other Apple apologist friends about how bad Dell screwed up.

I guess I'll get attacked next. He'll pull up my past threads when I was frustrated with Apple during my MacLemon situation and try to rub my face in them.

Elmo - there's nothing wrong with calling things as you see them - but you seem to be calling a lot - in fact - you're anytime minutes are all used up I think.

What's the point in being such an Apple hater? I can understand frustrations with poor service - and that certainly happens with Apple - but you seem to go the extra mile to bash every little thing.

One of the forums for my other hobby had a similar story recently.
One of the posters who constantly took a certain company to task for any real or perceived issue, found that they would not sell to him when he recently tried to place an order.
AND, they told him the reason was his constant bitching about their products!

Not that this has anything to do with this thread, just the caller id comment.
