I agree, pets are people too, as I told our vet when we spent over $300 on an operation for our guinea pig. You love your pet, they are a part of the family. Pets need a quality of life factor also.
Sure, grieve and reflect, celebrate happy memories, but do not feel guilty, you had lots of quality time together.

So sad! I speak to Miss Millicat and Tiger when I go past their resting places in the yard.

Sorry, I share your sorrow. I lost my little friend Catzilla May 12th, his sister 6 months earlier. There is definitely a void in my life. My daughter is trying to get me to adopt another, I'm not ready yet. I still look for him in his favorite places.

Looked incredibly deadlike in the first pic. Just joking...got one fat one here who sleeps on his back and looks like a white bloated corpse what with his four paws sticking up.
Sorry for your loss but you have to look back and remember that he had a good life with you. Hope you adopt another soon...lots of them out there that needs good homes.

Very sorry to hear of your loss. I feel sure he's kitty cat heaven with Fuzzie and Dinky.
We now have 3 cats as a stray wondered up a few months ago and we just couldn't say no, very tame, not
sure if she was dumped off by someone if he's a neighbors cat, all our neighbors are quite a ways away.
One of our cats, Chip, is a little over 18 yo and not doing very well. Not looking forward to that day.
