That drive buddy thing sure worked out well!

When my sister moved from WDC to Seattle, she reported on the drive from the perspective of the two Westies she was taking with her in the car.

Hope you listened to Simon and Garfunkel's "America" at least once on the trip.

Hmm, there must be web sites to help people compose themed playlists for various road trips. Maybe an app?

Am disappoint - Todd's keyboard did not provide its usual topical signoff.

I would like to hear this story from the viewpoint of the ride buddy.

Had he been I, the second that cat lost it I'd have been standing on the side of the road showing a lot of leg and thumbing a ride back to Palestine.

Because no thank you.

Cats vomit under stress. (So do babies, for that matter.) I imagine the kitties were riding inside some kind of carrier contraptions, which would have served to contain any disagreeable fluids, facilitating clean-up as well.

As a traveling companion, I have encountered all sorts of unexpected twists and turns. It is part of the adventure and part of the cost of a free trip. I would certainly bug out if I found myself riding with Bonnie and Clyde, but a nervous kitty is just ordinary life.

Note that cat-puke is considerably smaller in volume than what you see from humans, and much easier to clean up. Given the detailed nature of his advanced planning, I imagine that mattkime was well prepared for this possibility.

Cat puke in car = "heavy foot"

On the other hand, it is always possible that the "heavy foot" elicited the cat puke.

I have a slight disposition toward motion sickness in cars and buses, and some drivers are harder on my system than others. Choppy drivers are the worst.

Our cats always puke in the car when we drive to our cottage Up North! We know to cover our goods with a ratty sheet and that solves the cleanup issue. Just a normal three hour trip...
Glad you made it safely to Badger land. Welcome to the Great Lakes!
