Bank deposited $120K into wrong account, couple spent most of it.

Exactly $20k showed up as a deposit in my account. I ignored it for a few days after which it was removed by the bank.

.....once had the bank lose check deposited in ATM.....despite the fact that I had ATM receipt, they 'charged back the deposit'.......the deposit literally 'disappeared' and they said they could do nothing about it [ again, I had ATM receipt ]......
....luckily, it was small amount....from that day on I tried to deposit in person in a bank.....but at some point, you have to make deposits in ATM......

You don't HAVE to deposit at an ATM. I do checks on the mobile App, but I can't deposit cash via iPhone and I prefer the drive-up ATM to going inside...
