My aunt did genealogy research and determined we're somehow related to a founder of the green bay packers. I assume most of the state can make such a claim.

And several that came over on the Mayflower. Might be some crossing over of family tree branches in the 1600s. Mom is a direct descendant of Governor John H. Mickey of Nebraska. We have a very large sterling tea service from the governor's mansion with the Nebraska seal on it. And I have an invitation card for when his daughter Mary Nain Mickey, the sponsor and christener of the USS Nebraska BB-16, built here in Seattle. Part of the Great Fleet.

Marty Sklar was my father's cousin. He was one of the top people at Disney. He started as editor of the newspaper that was published and distributed on Main St Disneyland and rose to be the guy in charge of the parks worldwide. He was an awesome guy. Once I made him tell me the whole story. It took over an hour and it was really amazing.
I remember going to his place as a kid in the late 60s and he would entertain the kids by showing Disney cartoons in the garage. A movie projector and a screen. This was 20 years before everyone had a VCR in their home - my friends didn't believe me when I told them. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Marty_Sklar oh, and I have a cousin that had a recurring role in Babylon 5. Our grandfather was one of the top people in the world of tobacco, but he wasn't famous. ![]()

Johnny Appleseed (Chapman) is supposedly an uncle on up the line somewhere.

Cool about the Babylon 5! I remember that character.
I am certain that I am seven degrees away from Kevin Bacon...

Related by marriage: My wife's great-uncle (her dad's uncle) was Chief Justice Warren Burger. I had a couple of chances to meet him but I missed it both times. I had my father-in-law get him to sign some stuff for me:

The Bucher Meetinghouse at Elizabethtown College in PA is named for my great grandfather.
This foreign boy has deep PA Dutch roots. |
