Boot him. I'd love to see Tesla succeed, but they will be hampered by this guy.

Musk is their new hero. It must tear them in two that Musk is an EV guy or believer in global warming. The perception is definitely that their quality is horrendous. Many owners say the same thing. Whether that is resolved or not no one will know for a few years.

It's a misconception stemming from early production runs of a new model, or going further back, Tesla's early days when it was still learning how to mass manufacture cars. Even then, this quality issues were related to superficial items, not the core hardware or systems. That JD Power survey was not what you think it was. I guess we will agree to disagree. I saw someone pointing out external fit issues in the last two months: door gaps, loose body panels, water leaks. C(-)ris wrote: ....quality is horrendous. Many owners say the same thing. I understand. However if y'all can recall where it is you saw that (without having to spend time digging it up), I'd love to see it. I'm trying to be as aware as I can from an investor perspective of issues. As I understood it, this isn't a problem anymore with cars coming from the newer factories. And I thought Fremont had (or at worst is currently) addressed these issues.

With more competitors on the scene, Tesla probably doesn’t want to take any chances.

There is absolutely no benefit, and instead a whole lot of negatives. Not only is it a fundamental rule of business to never alienate your customers with politics, it is mad to do so without deriving any benefit from it.

I sold my Tesla stock and will not buy back in (or consider a Tesla) until Musk is disassociated with the company.
two years ago Musk was a visionary asset. Now he is now a liability that the board of directors should consider removing for the good of the company

Purely on the car side. Aren't all the Teslas models overdue for a redesign? Someone I was talking to the other day said the Model S, "Looks like a Buick." The commenter reiterated that it wasn't a compliment. This person is in the market for an EV and she started looking at Audi E-tron vehicles because he awareness of Musk's behavior. She said Musk was not the main factor but the Teslas styling wasn't her cup of tea.
