Well, I broke my fiancée's emac last night while trying to "fix" it...

'Got a picture of the broken piece and the spot it came from?

I've often been able to use bent pieces of paperclip to replace plastic clips and tabs and such... they can be held in place either by heating up the ends and embedding them into the plastic or else with some quick-set epoxy.

'Any chance you could do that kind of fix?

Yep, paper clips and heat (and a *touch* of superglue) work pretty well to pin together plastic parts.
Some heatshrink tubing may be in order, too.

Fixed my daughter's Breyer model horse that way; with a tape-wrap to cover the break, it looks quite athletic.

Duct tape. You can fix anything with duct tape. And a hammer.

Apply hammer only if duct tape fails.

Are you talking about the actual power button that got messed up?

Holy crap, that's it!

Thanks, man!

Maybe I'll try the paperclip/epoxy deal on the old one. If it doesn't work, I'll order a new power button from this place (if I can't find it cheaper used).
