Costco is selling Maranatha-brand almond butter in my area.
That's some tasty stuff. Healthier than peanut butter, too.
As a bonus, no salmonella. And if you DID get salmonella from it, you could return it to Costco, no questions asked, and get all of your money back! SWEET!

If the ingredients label on the peanut butter has more than one ingredient, find a different brand.

Robert M- back in the 50's, all Skippy had in it was peanuts and a little bit of salt, and they seemed to be proud of it at the time. I toured the local plant in Northern CA a few times, then IIRC in the late 70's or early 80's it started going downhill. as the replies note, the still natural stuff these days is what to eat. (and TJ's cups are magnetized to drop into the cart as it passes down the aisle...)
