Being careful, I've had very good success with this recent purchase. I use it for camping so I don't want ANY spillage in my car. I still put it in a box to catch any leakage. So far, no leaks while driving and 100% success in pouring without a mess.

I bought a 5l and 10l and they have been very good for me...

Looks like a much better design than the other versions.

Did you check to see if the rental place has a can you can rent or borrow?

Great idea, I will check.

If this rental work out well, we might be renting the brush mower two or three times a year, so we might need our own gas can.

The neighbors are due back shortly, I’ll see if I can borrow one from them.

I spent a whole day searching for the best and that's what I came up with...

Find a racing one that doesn't have the stupid valves on them.

For limited use, I'd check the local Craigslist or FB Marketplace, heeding all the usual precautions.

For a gas can.

I've been using an electric transfer pump to fill my mower from five gallon containers. I got it at Harbor Freight for about $8. It needs two d-cells.

Costco usually has 5 gal cans for around $15

Next time you are in Canada or Mexico buy a couple. They don’t have the stupid spout that causes more spillage than I care to describe.

Sometimes great minds think I alike, this is exactly what I bought many years ago. Can't at all tell I have a gas can in the garage. Very pleased with purchase.

This is the gas can I have been using for 2 years. IMO It works much better than the other gas can options.
