Sorry to hear that. Cockatiels are real characters.

Sorry for your loss. Probably Kirby has joined Freya in Valhalla, or whatever is the Kirby equivalent!

sorry to hear about your loss.

my younger sister got a cockatiel when she was in junior high and it just recently passed away. same circumstances - very suddenly, no warning signs, although it was several years older than kirby.

birds just don't seem to age which makes it very easy to imagine them staying around forever.

Really sad to hear about Kirby. Sad

I'm owned by a Goffins Cockatoo, Precious, who greets me every morning with "I love you" over and over until I take her out of her cage and then we exchange hugs (she puts her cheek against my hand and kisses (on the mouth).

While her species can live 60 to 70 years, I often worry about her because she has taken to plucking her beautiful feathers and that concerns me.

I know I'd be devastated if she were to pass, so I can imagine how you feel.

I hope that the rest of your flock gives you some comfort.

Best wishes and condolences,

GeneL and Precious

Precious says, "I 'm sad,too!"

Sorry to hear your friend has passed. No matter what type of pet you do bond, it hurts when they pass so remember them and they never die. Try not to punch anyone if they say "it's just a bird" they just do not understand the unconditional love of a friend/pet.
