My pet peeve is trying to use a stored rechargeable battery, and it's discharged just by sitting in a cupboard somewhere.

So I'm slowly switching to eneloop rechargeables, for much longer storage times before they lose their charge.

FWIW I've ordered a number of rechargeable batteries off of Thomas Distributing
in the past few years, and they were always a pleasure to deal with.

When you call them on the phone you are actually talking to someone that knows something
and not just an order taker.

It sounds like a personal problem. We haven't bought any AA's in years. I have about 30 AA rechargeables.

Grateful; basically the same here. I think I've only bought new rechargeable AAs as items start needing their disposable AAs replaced. I've got my kids pretty well used to going to the recharger to get new batteries and leave me the spent ones to "fill up".

I ordered a charger and bats several years ago and added two of those plastic cases for them. Whoever fulfilled the order must of added two handfuls to the box. I had more than I needed and outfitted all my friends with the extras.

I became quite accustomed to the rechargeable battery process as a child, having lots of toys that needed them. Of course it was not difficult for even a child to see that the NiCad' s of the day were a far cry from the power of an Alkaline battery, so we eventually stopped using the rechargeables.

Today I suspect they are much better though, and until now I haven't had much cause to use rechargeables again, but now that I have the Wii and all the various remotes I am beginning to consider them once again.
