Humane Soc sues major retailers over fur. Sickening.

Ah, so by that rationale, if a pig had a better personality, he would cease to be a filthy animal. Is that true?

"Hey, sewer rat may taste like pumpkin pie, but I'd never know 'cause I wouldn't eat the filthy M.F. Pigs sleep and root in shit. That's a filthy animal. I ain't eat nothin' that ain't got enough sense enough to disregard its own feces."

If you've ever seen this movie, you'll know that raccoon dogs are very mischievous creatures.

I'll go out on a limb here and guess that mink and chinchilla find being skinned alive just as painful as dogs do. I'll also guess that they have just as strong a desire to live.

Exactly. And regardless of how allegedly "humane" or obviously barbaric the process of killing animals for their skin might be, it's contemptible. No one NEEDS these products. Wearing fur says a lot about a person. None of it is positive.

Bunnies make great pets!

Fur is wrong - just wrong.

Why is using animals for fur any more wrong than using them for meat?

They way they are de-furred and the treatment leading up to the de-furring.

Using them only for fur is evil - if you use the whole animal, meat, fur, skin, that I don't have a problem with. May be hypocritical, but there it is.

Taking an animal's fur (or just it's skin, for leather), just for your own vanity - horrifying.

Agreed.

And I had no idea that "fur animals" were skinned alive. That's abhorrent.
