PSA: Nylon spoons and spatulas for cooking...

What kid of tea do you use and what were you stirring into it?

Initially, it was a mix of several different teas. I have a big selection of loose leaf here. When I make tea, I often make a second cup for the iced tea jug.

For testing purposes I used plain old Lipton tea bags.

The only things stirred into it were the nylon utensils.

Interesting, I've never stirred my iced tea. I just let it seep then pour. Which reminds me I need to go pour some... this is what I drink http://www.peets.com/shop/tea_detail.asp?id=301&cid=2008 (the color is way off in the pic)

Fridge your tea in a clear glass container. You'll see that it separates if not agitated.

more importantly, do you drink water out of plastic bottles ? I use stainless steel water bottles now. I didn't like the plastic-y taste.

It's a proven medical fact that life causes death.

Oh, so this happened when it was cold? Wow.

I actually found a trick to keep it clear. I leave the tea bag in it. Yeah, they say that will make the tea bitter but IME it doesn't. I make a batch every three days or so.

CDS - Chronic Death Syndrome affects over 99% of humans. Sadly little research has been done to fight this terrible disease.

They don't put whiskey in wooden barrels for nothing.

Those are charred barrels, of course.

Which is not to draw any comparisons to the food you are cooking, of course.

They are, but the wood still adds flavor to the batch. I burn my fair share of food, but I don't really think that my utensils of choice matter that much. However, if Doc lives to be 120 I think he might be on to something.
