Swine 'flu ranks up there with some other deliberate pseudo-scientific frauds created or abetted
by governments to impose their will and restrictions on their subjects-citizens. H1N1 has been a
terrible bust and was almost certainly known to have been one since the great scare started. I'm
starting to feel invincible. I have survived the Jupiter effect, Y2K, west nile virus, sars, bird flu,
and swine flu (2 times). When I was growing up, I rode a bicycle without a helmet, drank out of
garden hoses, played battle ball at school, and played with bb guns and fireworks. Now if I can
just avoid the obamacare death panels I'll be in good shape. Sometimes the experts are wrong.
Especially the ones whose grant funding depends on their promotion of the next crisis.

Do you need a hug?

257 child deaths attributed to the flu as of the end of January for the U.S.

In a typical flu season 40-50 children die.

Were we just a little bit faster producing vaccine we could have avoided at least some of those deaths.

In a nation of 300+ million the above is a blip, but I'm sure it mattered to the parents of those children.

Don't worry your head about this.
I'm sure Greg got it- that's all that matters.

Just because the carts and bellringers calling bring out your dead stayed home doesn't mean it was not bad. In terms of lost work.. We had more lost workdays in Oct. Than in years. Also due to a virus that ran around here. 2 weeks fever, etc. It was. Miserable.
