Last time I tried Dominoes (house full of kids / birthday party) I was tempted to see if the cardboard box tasted better.
I'll make my own.
Wish I had a wood fired brick oven, though.
Best pizza I ever had was made in one. Had to be the oven. :-)

So where is Carnival's, PizzaGod?
That zah looks GREAT!
We have a place near my house in Philly called "Angelino's" that I love soooo much! We get a white pizza with prosciutto, mushrooms, and ricotta. It is the bomb! Their crust is so good.

Costco pizza, both good (albeit not superb) and cheap. Best of both worlds IMHO. Domino's? Yeech.

Around here
Sal's is the 300 lb gorilla and the pizza isn't far behind in size. What I like about Sal's is that they have at least 9-12 different cooked pies in the front counter window and you can buy a slice or two of what ever looks good for lunch or to go. Most pizza places offer either cheese or pepperoni but I can get a slice eggplant onion and meatball or spinach feta and fresh tomato if I want. And it's great pizza too. I like to show up right before closing when they sell what's left for cheap, cheap (I got 2 pies for $5 toal last week) and then throw it in the freezer. Sal's reheated is better than many places fresh pie.

Oh, did I mention the hand made cannoli's for desert??

I worked at Domino's for 6 years as head driver and driver trainer, and for about a year tending ovens and routing pizzas for the drivers. That being said, I ate a LOT of Domino's pizza. (all free of course)
It was unremarkable, but OK. It did appeal to kids. Lots of times that will be a deciding factor. Unless you have kids, or young nieces or nephews, you might not understand that and give it much weight when deciding dinner options.

And what are they going to do with their customers that still want cardboard and ketchup?

I see we have 2 Sal's Pizzas in the Bay Area (though 40+ miles away from where I live), They're in the South Bay. I'm gonna try 'em out when I'm down that way.

I want to try the new upgraded recipes. Sounds to me like a lot of posters in this thread are using "past tense" and judging dominoes by their distant past experiences.
