iPhone 6 poll
#21
I'm about 21 months in on my iPhone 5. I could upgrade but there's nothing about the 6 that I must have so I will wait a while.

We have two iPhone 4 models here and one has been retired to "iPod touch" status. Both have had battery and screen swaps from two other donor iPhone 4 models ... my laziness with not selling the working units is about to be rewarded: the major carriers now have $200 trade-ins and cheaper plans (about $60 vs. what it used to be, $75).

For about $20/month more for 2 years on the plan I'll happily stick with a carrier and get a 6 in exchange.

My iPhone 4 has felt sluggish since iOS6. Late last year I finally switched to an MVNO, for a tasty monthly savings with only minor inconvenience (I can't send MMS to non-iPhone users now). I'd like the 6 Plus' optical image stabilization, and the battery life looks significant, but the size is just too damn big.

Next year's 6S will likely have both improvements, but I've waited long enough and a used 5S won't be cheap anytime soon. (I won't get a new one without TouchID.)

That said, if I had a good Bluetooth earpiece or car-thing setup to where I didn't have to hold it while talking, and decently sized clothes that could accommodate it, I'd get the 6 Plus and enjoy the better video experiences, horizontal Home screen and so on.

I have been carrying around a cardboard cut-out iPhone6+.

It fits in my work pockets entirely fine.

I do not find the size in my hand a problem, though I do have larger hands (can cover more than a piano octave).

I've decided that the better built-in battery life means I may not need a battery case, the larger screen and the better camera with OIS is worth the risk that I will consider this too large.

I'm far more confused by all of the AT&T plans than I am which phone to order!

I'm disappointed the iPhone 6 won't have optical stabilization. And no sapphire display for either model.

Pretty close. If you like that sized device, the iPhone 6 is close enough to be comfortable as well.

If it has a user swappable battery and a storage expansion slot (haven't had time to figure that out.)

If the iPhone 6 has those things? Confusedmiley-laughing001: Sorry...
Oh... it doesn't? Well, if Apple's serious about offering its own versions of semi-recent Samsung models, maybe it will soon.
Yeah, good luck.

Why is this not an option on other iPhones?
