Lawsuit: Starbucks underfilling drinks

that " entitled customer base" probably expects a whole gallon of gas at the gas station and a whole gallon of ice cream in their gallon containers too.

They won't stop standing in line for over-hyped, over-priced "coffee" though.

Bingo, that pretty much sums it up perfectly.
A gallon is a specific unit of measure. One would expect, and rightfully so, to get a gallon of ice cream in a gallon container. Now if what was being sold was a large(tub of) ice cream it might be a gallon, it might not be.

Starbux pretty much introduced the concept of 'sizes' of lattes (the suit seems to be about underfilling lattes not regular coffees).

Before Starbux took over the world, pretty much everyone sold one size of latte. Add an extra shot of espresso or two if you like, but there was never any particular size. You get a shot of espresso and some foamy milk. There was no such thing as a '16oz latte'.

Foamy milk is mostly air... this whole suit just seems crazy to me. Even crazier than sm, med, lg lattes.

I love Starbucks. Venti Dark Roast. Cafe Verona. I'm always shocked at how much half & half people add to their coffee. Mist people seem to pour some of their coffee into the trash receptacle to make room. I'm SURE that's annoying for the workers who have to maintenance that.

I tried hard to win the "Starbucks For Life" contest.

that's why we ask customers if they'd like us to leave room for cream in the cup. of course one person's not enough room is another person's hey you shorted me coffee. and we double bag all trash to help deal with the liquid dumped into receptacles.

Verona is my favorite core coffee, also.

I can only drink decaf, decaf Verona is my favorite, followed by decaf Sumatra. In the stores I have no choice but to get decaf Pike's Place, I don't care for it drip-brewed, but like it OK as a pour-over. This lawsuit seems frivolous, I'm always asked if I want room for cream. (I decline, black only for me.)

In most other languages and/or countries, those are called Small, Medium and Large. In USA, the land of "Larger is Better", no one wants to buy a "small drink", so the merchants renamed those M, L and XL.

I've noticed the Starbucks cups seem to have less coffee in them too lately. At home, we almost never go to Starbucks, we like our great local shops. When traveling, usually no choice.

I'm with Bill on this one. If I buy a gallon of something or 16oz. of something I expect to get it.

BTW: I wouldn't know what get if I went there because I've never been to a Starbucks.

Say, "I'd like a cup small coffee." Pay them $1.85 (around here) and skedaddle. I usually get a large (Venti) for $2.45.
