One day is not meant to do harm. The measurables from the days boycott will send a message as to what can happen to “General Bullmoose’s” businesses going forward if people decide to really get serious about enacting extended boycotts.

I thought "Buy Nothing Day" is Black Friday to smugly go against the commercialization of a once family oriented holiday weekend.

The 'it won't make any difference' is the reason some people don't vote.

It would be more accurate to compare it to voting by mail, early voting, etc., instead of voting on "voting day."

Because you're going to buy/vote eventually.

Is this going to how up on any reports/metrics?

Unlikely.

I just saw a report on how this came about. Apparently this was suggested by a regular guy and the idea took off. It is not expected to do any harm to the businesses targeted but the boycott has picked up steam throughout the country with a number of churches getting onboard as a pushback to the whole DEI situation that is occurring. While this is only one day it looks like it very well might become a movement that will target singular businesses like Amazon for a week long boycott, followed by Target for a week etc.

Just bought some candy from Amazon and having them shipped here by tomorrow. Now going to the gas station to get coffee, milk, creamer and yes gas.

These one day protests do nothing but virtue signal. How did the reddit one day protest go???

I won't spend a dime today. Not a difficult task for me.

I would think if everyone didn't file a tax return it would send a huge message to the people who are causing so much grief.

now *that* is an idea that would have some impact, but it's sort of odd to hold hostage those who benefit from tax funds, although I agree with the sentiment.
