If you know nothing about the tournament I guess you could come to that conclusion. However, if you are following the tournament the thread subject line has no information other than announce who won the game so is 100% spoiler.

Nice (and typical) straw man
for some it's stale old news

How about a two or three day delay ( courtesy) regarding apple events for all of us spoiled little brats that have to work and can't keep up with tech news ?
Didn't think so.

That'd be a painful death of a thousand times :jest:

How do you figure? It was posted just a few hours after the game.

My 60 year old aunt interrupted our weekly Gtalk to watch the game! WTH!

I'm with Davester all the way. The second I saw the OP title I knew who had won. Not quite as cryptic as intended. Also, knowing the score before you watch a game does ruin the experience. The individual goals might be excellent, but there is zero excitement and anticipation.
I do not have cable TV and hence could not follow the game live, but I would like to watch it as if it were live. Obviously people "water-cooler" talk, but that normally happens the next day.

"If they lost I didn't watch. If they won, then it was more fun to watch." Hmm. Strange.

Interesting thread about netiquette...

The experience already happened whether you saw it or not. That's why sports are shown live on television. If you missed it, you missed it. Old news. Electronic fish wrap. It's not "Mad Men."

Correct.

The world doesn't revolve around your Tivo choices, nor mine.

The experience did not happen for me. The 'event' happened, but my experience of it has not happened until I experience it.

Your comment seems odd.

All davester is saying is that it is common courtesy and a simple matter to refrain from posting spoiler info IN A THREAD TITLE. He's right - and surely his is not too difficult a request to honor. If there are persons who can not be bothered to perform this small courtesy... well, that they will not says more about them than anything else.
