Rate plans for iPhone unveiled by Apple
#31
I thought about that, but there is no scroll bar at the bottom of the page and I have the window as large as it will go on the iBook. I just brought it up on the iMac and it is the same there. It isn't a stretching problem. I even reduced the type as much as it would go and I still get the image you see below. Note, there is no side scroll bar at the bottom of the page.

OK, it is a font size driven problem. I had to go into preferences and change the "never display fonts smaller than" back to the default and now I get the page like Seacrest's. I think this is a poor way to set up a table, IMHO, but thanks for helping me clear up what was going on.

[quote Ken Sp.]I think the plans are attractive to new customers.

I like this

Existing AT&T Customers
If you’re already an AT&T customer and want to keep your current voice plan, you can just add an iPhone Data Plan with unlimited data (email and web) and Visual Voicemail for just $20 per month.
That's not bad at all. I can get a pretty good discount through my company for AT&T voice service as it is. Wonder if that discount will also apply to the data plan charge? (Obviously it won't apply to buying an iPhone.)

I almost certainly won't get one for myself, since I'm not even allowed to carry a normal phone in to work, much less one with gigabytes of storage--but the wife has wanted on since she saw a clip of the Stevenote...

[quote chuck_k]It's not a "one line family plan," it's a one iPhone family plan. Your other phone can be anything else, and you share your voice minutes.

Read it carefully, and understand how Cingular does business. It's still a family plan. But not everyone in the family will have an iPhone. In fact, very few families will have more than one iPhone. The other phones will be normal phones.
I understand what youmean but I still took it to mean that regardless of what type of phone you added to the plan, there would be an additional charge per line. I thought Cingular had always been that way in that I believed them to charge for each additional line. The way the site shows, I took it to mean that those were the base rates for Family Plans with one phone included. Each additional line/phone would cost more. If that's incorrect then my making a funny about a family plan with a pricing structure based on only one line wasn't so funny, eh? :-)

(edit) Ahhh, see tahoedrew that is what i was referring to. Or something along those lines anyway. I couldn't recall if they included 2 lines with the family plan in the past and if it was anything over the initial two that got charged more or what.

Yes the basic family plan is for two lines and they split the charges up (not evenly by the way) between the two phones. Each additional line that you add to the Family Plan costs an additional $9.99 per month on top of the family plans cost.

The family plan is $80 for the first phone plus $9.99 for each additional line. Since the iPhone requires a mandatory data plan, you have to add $20 for each additional iPhone as well. This pricing is consistent with their current practices.

When you "Zapruder" the Activate and Sync Video it shows that you can return within 3 days and you get the Activation Fee back--If you terminate within 30 days you can take the iPhone back and not pay the $175 early cancelation fee.

Look for iPhones in the AppleStore refurb section in 30+ days

I downloaded in QT and advanced Frame by Frame to read it----This is not to imply that it is the final contract, but it seems to be.

rg, I saw the same as you. My minimum font size is set to 16.

Excellent diagnosis, Seacrest.

Rammie,
I am so glad you saw what I did. I was beginning to think I was the only one who had changed the minimum font size to something over 12pt.

Usually, if there is a type size issue it will just make it so you need to scroll the page from side to side to see the whole thing. I haven't run into this type of problem before. And yes, Seacrest did a good job diagnosing the problem.
