Americans' Food Stamp Use Nears All-Time High
#31
No, I did not miss the point. Many people have a meal a day at the soup kitchen to help their food stamp benefit stretch. If the government were to cut off food stamps then the soup kitchens and pantries would be overwhelmed. In fact, they already are overwhelmed, even with the benefit. There was a story on NPR this morning about that.

Who said they want the food stamp program to end?

The point is it's not Dems "BS news," it's an actual statistic and it reflects the state of this nation and its economy. You might not want to accept the facts but they are there.

Well we'd certainly never know if it was you, since you've made numerous posts without saying anything truly worthwhile on the subject. Smile

I thought there are smart people here at MR?

Is this your way of saying that having 30 million on the program is good?

Why don't you tell us what your point is and perhaps we can address it. At the moment your little sideways questions are too much of an annoying moving target. Make a point. Ask a direct question.

Personally, I've now invested all the time I intend to. I see where this is going, and I'm no longer going to participate in the game. The poster has had ample opportunities to explain himself. You'll notice he hasn't.

Bye!

Bye! AD, I'm with you.
This is nothing but a "Monkey Dance" thread.
He has a point, right on the top of his head!!

All of these programs rely on honest and honorable people to staff and run them and honorable and decent people to benefit from them. When morality breaks down within the system and among those availing themselves of the system you have caos.

When there is big money to be had, people cheat and lie, steal and abuse the system. It's true in private industry too. For example the auto and health insurance scammers.

We, the good guys, pay for the fraud and corruption through higher taxes and higher rates and higher cost of goods and it gets worse every day.

To fix it we need to start with teaching children right from wrong. Make the accountable for their actions. Respect other people and their property. Lying is wrong. Stop with the "social justice", and how to play the victim education.

There will always be seven to ten per cent of our population using the food stamp system. The population of the USA is always growing so every year you could set a record. Why would this be news then? Because bragging that it's almost as bad as it every has been is putting the D's in position to be the answer to all social ill. The D's can now be johnny-on-the-spot with the properly issued public thought through this type of post story. During the last eight years the participation of those eligible has risen something like 11 million. That is another third using the program where is that news story. Why is that is left out in the post story?
