supposedly Obama believed his signs were too corporate looking in the beginning, but it had already taken hold and he was not going to micro-manage the campaign at that level. at least, that is what i read at some point this past summer.

As for signs, I hate the ones that Bush almost always has in the background while out doing stump speeches. "Mission Accomplished" was the worst one, but there are plenty of others. They are pure marketing hype, and cheapen the office of the POTUS IMHO. I hope that Obama gets rid of such outright propaganda, but I fear the worst. Here's one:

If it isn't this it'd be something else. They'll pound and pound and pound and pound relentlessly and unceasingly just like a regiment of terminators because it's what they do. Instead of developing concepts and ideas that build our nation they've discovered that it's simply easier to tear people and organizations apart that do the work of the people and bring them down. We lend credence to it when we ignore it. They're willing to sacrifice themselves in their effort to stop anyone that might lend a hand to anyone that might not have two nickels to rub together. Newt Gingrich pounded away until he blew himself up in total sacrifice. Same with Tom Delay. They threw "themselves" under the bus for the common GOP good. You won't see Reid or Pelosi doing that.

They'll complain about what kind of toilet paper Obama uses until it becomes a GOP meme that develops a life of its own to the extent that it derails his entire administration. Obama: "I did not use, nor did I intend to use that Charmin toilet paper." If he'll lie about that, then how can we trust him about anything?

Are you able to comment on a single issue on its own merit without referring to what George Bush did or didn't do? Kids grow out of it at about age 5.
