Complicity leads to inconsistency. You have to make a conscious thought about whether you need to use
a signal or not when it's far easier to just use it. I don't have to take my mind off my driving, I just do it.

Whatever trips your blinker though, we the majority need more inconsiderate drivers on the road to keep things interesting. miley-laughing001:

Same 2 lane road: Youre oblivious to the fact have had your left blinker on since you left the house. Drivers from the opposite direction are such great drivers with spectacualr vision -- they keep slowing cause they think you are gonna turn... unbeknownst to them your blinker has been on for the last 20 minutes and the stack of 20 cars behind you keeps waiting for you to turn. Finally one goes around you -- cause clearly you arent turning -- and they cant see the car in the opposite lane and you cause a head on collision.

Cause you had your blinker on.

You clearly don't want to get it. In both your scenario and mine the turn signals were not properly used!

If your only two modes are never-use-it, or can't-trust-myself-to-turn-it-off-when-not-needed, perhaps "u shouldn't be driving"??

Nobodys arguing.

Its like you think I swerve in and out of traffic all day blindly cutting off people left and right, or just randomly turn right from the middle lane and screw anyone who is behind me -- like some sort of fast & furious movie or grand theft auto.

Just got back from Ikea and Home Depot. Didnt use the blinker once. There was never the "need" to. Drove to the end of the street. No cars, turned left. Turned right into a roundabout, no blinker needed, its not like you can turn left. Got into left had turn lane/light. No blinker, turning left. Got on freeway, no cars coming, no blinker. And when getting onto the freeway, why not pay attention and let me in? Do I really need a blinker? Where else am I going to go? Im getting on the freeway. Got off freeway, still no cars behind me, no blinker. Right hand turn lane with green arrow, right hand turn lane and finally into parking lot, left into aisle right into space. No cars, no peds, no blinker.

I thought you said "be honest!" So I am. But hell, if I had known everyone was going to wish me and my family great bodily harm, or have people tell me not to drive because apparently people who use their blinkers are better drivers somehow and never get into accidents -- which makes zero sense -- then I never would have been honest?

Maybe it should have been "be honest, but if you dont use them just drive your family off a bridge now"?
