I join your other friends on the forum and offer my condolences. Seems like an empty phrase, but I'm sure that those of us who have known you for a long time now just want to say something to ease the pain that I'm sure you are feeling.
It feels strange to me, knowing that your Mom was "only" 73, since I'll be 71 this month and my S/O, Mavis, whom I've talked about on the forum is 77. Maybe it's good to know that, in spite of a myriad of physical problems, we don't "feel" old, so I hope that your Mom was able to be happy in her "shell" until she left you. Take solace in the fact that you were able to describe her as your friend. Many people have lost that dear connection with their parents, which is so sad to me. Enjoy your memories of her and keep her close in your heart. GeneL

Condolences on your loss, MacArtist. To lose either a parent or a friend is very difficult. When the person is one and the same, it makes it that much tougher. Take care of yourself. We've all been there or will be there.
