Heh! Just visit the Google AAPL forum and you'll see these trollish kind of messages frequently. My advice is, if Apple products "bug" you so much, get a Dell, "Dude".

But in saying that Apple did not make the hard drive, you are to some extent proving my point, not disproving it.
NOT! Apple never, repeat never manufactured hard drives. Macs have always had hard drives manufactured by another firm. IBM, Toshiba, Sony, & Fujitsu on the other hand have manufactured the hard drives used in their respective brand of computer. And yes, they all have failures. The largest laptop recall ever involved many brands, including Apple & Dell, that used li-Ion batteries made by... Sony geez, just get it fixed, for free.

And It's about losing faith in a company that you've believed in your whole life. My mistake, I thought that Apple aficionados like yourselves could relate.
Nah, you logged into the wrong site, we are definitely not Apple "aficionados", most of us are Dell-heads. We disrespect Apple, and could care less. We like the OS, and prefer to run it on pc hardware via hackintosh tricks. We hang out here not because of brand loyalty, we hang out here because we're cheap.

But c'mon, don't kid a kidder: waiting until just now to trot out "the problem," this far into the thread? Pull up a chair, let's just talk all night about the greater "meaning" of what happened. The actual resolution of the issue is secondary, am I right? I mean, why use a computer when you can talk about using a computer, instead? Dang, gotta go. I finished my popcorn.

Well I'm annoyed with my newis Mac Pro because the Superdrive won't recognize commercial music CDs. It'll recognize DVDs, and burned data on DVD or CD.
This should not happen on a $2500 computer, even if Apple doesn't manufacture the drive itself.

Ok. Ok. So, I'm a dramatic, little girl... as in not a bro or a stud.
I didn't say that Apple made hard drives. I've read plenty of Apple history to know that's not the case. I only meant that if the guts of a Mac are essentially the same as those other computers, it does not make sense that Macs cost so much more. I will never leave Apple. I will not get a Dell. Eww. I'm just disappointed. And I've had bad experiences with Apple before, so I may be a little naive, but I'm not completely. This was just the last straw, because yes, I did feel like Apple software may have been a contributing factor to my computer crashing. I don't hate Apple by any means; I just see room for improvement. And honestly, I kind of wanted to see if y'all would boot me out the way my dad told me you would. But it was mildly amusing.
