There is a YouTube app that is default on every iPod Touch. When you click on a YouTube video, it plays in the app.
but most of the videos will not play. "This video could not be played. OK" is the message. I tried to restrt the iPod. No go. I will probably try again after I update to iPhone OS 3.1 soon
Something is wrong. I've not had that as a problem yet on my Touch.

Hopefully, YouTube will soon require uploading in H.264 only.
Amen.
I'm glad to see your choice of test video!
It was a dangerous job, but somebody had to do it. I took one for the team.
Next mission: try to convert that .flv to .mp4 and see if it plays any better.
You can play YouTube videos (almost) directly in QuickTime Player if you have ClickToFlash installed (and I think you need Perian too).
If YouTube is not whitelisted in CTF, click on the "gear" in the upper left of the YouTube video window to get the menu. There will be an option "Play Fullscreen in QuickTime Player".
It will play a lot better.
I just wish CTF had this option for all Flash video. So far I've only see it in YouTube.
Also, this won't work if you have YouTube set to use the HTML 5 beta.
Good luck.

Winston, I have CTF in my desktop Macs.
My posts were concerning YouTube, H.264, and my iPhone.
But thanks for the info, nonetheless.
