Opticlear Eyewash for Dogs

Does anyone here have experience with this OTC med? Tia

There really isn't much to it. It doesn't qualify as a medication, because it doesn't contain any antibiotics or steroids. "A sterile, buffered solution that has the same tonicity and ph as normal tear fluid." I don't see how it could do any harm. Now will it do any good? It depends on why you're looking for an eyewash.

To remove the black/brown stuff (not sure what to call it) from our dogs' eyes.

warm water on a cloth alone doesn't work ?

Is it bad enough and caused by a tear duct problem ?

It works well with our Yorkie-Shnauzer mutt; not on our poodle-maltese-whateverelse mutt.

Not sure. Vet said there is no need to use Angle Eyes.
