what?? are you saying that people are not able to control what they say?

BS! This wasn't an off the cuff comment - it was clearly something that he gave forethought to.

I'm usually cool with Maher until he (or any of his guests for that matter) try and make it like smoking pot is somehow cool. I lean toward the legalization of it but I feel bad for anyone that either glorifies its use as if it's some kind of benchmark for being cool or can't get by without the crutch. I don't agree with him on everything but he's usually on the mark.

I'm not sure how I feel about Maher. Sometimes I feel like he hits the nail on the head and sometimes I feel like he is the world's biggest a-hole.

I can tell you from personal experience: He's both. Mostly the latter, but he has good writers.

And without all the makeup, his face could kill at 50 paces.

I've always enjoyed watching Mahar and agree with him more times than not but I also came to the conclusion a long time ago that he IS a big jerk and I would never want to know him personally.

Who said he was serious? Knowing him it sounds more like a satire. It is like him saying they are coming to get your guns, or he wants to see Obama's birth certificate. As for the name, it is what it is but for anyone to shrug it off and pretend it is not a newsworthy item is to be disingenuous.
