Well, let's hope that his body greets his new heart as a liberator.

Maybe in 20 years he can compete in an Ironman like Dwight Kroenig.

Now that he's healthy, Obama should hire him as his SecDef to plan the invasion of Iran.

But this time Haliburton gives a cut of the profits to the U.S. Government.

I can't help but wonder if the person who died and as a result contributed the heart doesn't somehow feels twice victimized.

Politics aside, this never should have happened.

He's simply too freaking old.

My uncle lasted nearly 20 years with his heart transplant.

Cheney's advanced age and prior health issues mean he'll get more on the order of 20 months.

A younger person could have made far better use of such a scarce medical resource.

< Published in the Journal of Cardiac Surgery, the study shows that older heart transplant recipients fare just as well as their younger counterparts, even many years after surgery. >>

I poked around last night looking for stats, and found nothing to suggest that he doesn't stand a good chance of getting at least 5 or 10 years out of it. Where did the 20 month figure come from?
