If he has nothing to hide, why is he so adamant about hiding 20 years of tax records? His own party members are requesting for him to do this, yet he is standing firm on hiding his past. This is a MASSIVE red flag from someone who is running on his record as a "successful" business person.

Obama and his transcripts have absolutely nothing to do with why Mitt is evading disclosure, so please do not derail the thread. There is plenty of smoke with Romney and the problem seems that your candidate is a not only a proven liar but quite possibly a tax cheat.

For someone who does not accept the information that Obama has released already, you sure are quick to defend the lack of document disclosure from Mitt. 2 years of documents is nothing compared to what the birthers, including you, want from Obama.

People seem to be tying themselves in knots to avoid agreeing with a most probable scenario:

1. Romney hasn't paid any taxes for roughly 10 years
2. An employee of Baine actually called Reid and told him
3. Reid repeated what he heard

That is more likely the truth than anyone else is putting forward.

Romney recently told ABC News that he couldn't recall if there were years when he paid below the 13.9 percent tax rate that he paid in 2010. Although he said he was "happy to go back and look," his campaign declined to do just that.

What did he mean by "I'll be happy to go back and look?"
Only a person of the lowest possible standards could defend this guy.

The person is not a Bain employee, it's an "investor." That could mean all sorts of things and it certainly is not a person who would have seen Romney's tax returns. He's just guessing, like everyone else. Other than the Romneys and their accountants and lawyers and the IRS, the only people who know about Romney's returns are the people on the McCain campaign who looked at them. And they only got up to 2006 or so I believe. And they are not going to say anything negative about Romney, the others are not going to talk.
So unless he releases the returns, we won't know what's in them.
Comments like this guy Reid claims he talked to are throw away.
