I must be lucky -- Excel blades last me three weeks of everyday shaving. I use conditioner in place of shaving cream, gel, etc...
I do not use disposables though.

I use the Gillette ProGlide and I shave everyday. I use the
5-blade disposable cartridges. I use any soap that is available *(:>* It has been discussed here before and I find that this routine works. After shaving I rinse my blades with water from the faucet thoroughly. I dry the razor carefully with my towel and then rinse the blades again with alcohol. I also rinse the blades with alcohol before I shave. I consistently have blades last longer than I can remember . . . ymmv Rudie *(:>*

I switched to a cheap DE recently; so far so good.
BlueBird blades are OK, I may try Feather once these run out. http://www.doubleedgeshavingplace.com/pr...-10-blades Sometimes I use Barbasol foam, other times I use Cremo from a tube (sort of expensive). Is this a nice Edwin Jagger? http://www.ebay.com/itm/390651066648

Hey, do the hipster thing and buy an old straight razor for like $45 in an Austin second hand shop and then start shaving/decapitating with that but only start a blog about it. Update daily.
Sorry, spent some time in Austin.

+1 on burning it off with your white gold wedding band.

Decay,
Just about every Edwin Jagger ED razor is good. ![]() That model I believe is similar to mine and it's a used razor. Soap.com has an Edwin Jagger on sale, too: A little more $$$ but may be the same or similar model and it's brand-new. ![]() Robert

I switched to a DE razor several years ago when I inherited my Grandfather's old Silver Gillete DE razor. I use Derby blades and get about a week from them.
I use disposables when I travel as the DE blades are a TSA no no for carry-on baggage.

thanks, Robert - I hadn't noticed the ebay linked razor was used.
