... what I need: an additional cable or two of this type, with these connectors at the ends, and an A/B switch to switch between two inputs using these cables. Preferably cheap, of course.

Agreed. try to post pictures from different angles, not the same picture 4 times.

Also I prefer to have the pictures load without having to click on links, unless the size is of concern for those in slow connections.

OK, I'll try to take better photos later today, but I'd have thought those would be good enough. Looks to be 20-pin (two rows of 10) female connectors of some type... and yes, the pics are big enough that I didn't want to directly link, for the sake of those on limited BW connections.

Nevermind; I think I got it. I think it's a 20 pin micro Centronic. Connected to a digital camera on one end, and a video capture device on the other. Yikes, these cables are not cheap...

It reminds me of a Sony Japanese-only video standard from 20 years ago, sort of the precursor to DVI. This looks like the same connector but it looks like it was discontinued.

Yes, and guys, keep in mind that this is being used for CURRENT equipment... meaning something that is still being manufactured even now. Gahhh... I despise proprietary cables, and what's the chance that someone even makes an A/B switch for this?

You still have not said what brand and model of equipment this is for... is it a camera system for a microscope or something similar? Just because a 10 year old camera system is listed by some company as "for sale" does not mean it is "up to date." IIRC, it was one of the higher quality professional standards in 1999, but it has ended up mostly abandoned by the mainstream like ADC was.
