Wish fulfillment shows created by men. And how about the "Andy Griffith"/"My Three Sons"/"Family Affair" type sitcoms that allowed men to have families AND get to date?

Time to get your prescription checked. Samantha may have been more classically beautiful, but Jeannie... oh, Jeannie is the kind of girl that would keep a guy up ALL NIGHT (with the body to back it up).

I never looked back on old TV - I remember watching these shows when I was a kid in the late 60s, but over the years, Jennie and Samantha merged into one character. Even the pictures in the OP I thought were of the same character...
