I'll consume pumpkin 365, so suck it! You holiday-only consumers are merely me-too consumers, following a trend.

Cinnamon, nutmeg, and cloves are key ingredients in my persimmon chocolate chip cookies; I LIKE the spices.

Friend gave me pumpkin beer one time. Took me two years to get around to drinking it. Wasn't bad but I am not convinced that pumpkin is an appropriate flavor for beer. (Understand, I drink about 3 beers a month, so I am NOT a connoisure.)

Pumpkin beer is tough, as the normal experience with pumpkin is sweet and warming-style spices. The hops in many beers to me, are the exact opposite. Pumpkin wheat, or pumpkin stout, or pumpkin scottish ale works in my mind.

It helps us save on shopping...during the next two months, half of the items at Trader Joes and Costco are pumpkin flavored. Since I have a pumpkin allergy, we take no chances and buy none of it. So for the next month we'll be reducing our freezer and panty stock.

The pumpkin allergy just really came on strong in the last 10 years...so I do miss pumpkin pie. I have learned a couple of great comparable sweet potato pie recipes.

Lucky for you if you are not allergic to pumpkin flavored items as you can probably consume most of it.
