MacX DVD Ripper Pro: Lifetime Single License [$19.99]
#11
I paid for multiple licenses to be used on multiple Macs. LittleAppFactory has NOT answered multiple emails I sent them re their RipIt app. I bought it years ago for ~ $10. It's still on the LittleAppFactory website but is now ~ $40 (now with NO support). My Late 2011 17" MBP won't start (the video issue). A 2006 17" MBP (Core2Duo machine) HAS RipIt BUT, a DVD is stuck in the SuperDrive. I've been unable to get it out and, have not been able to extract the RipIt app so I can move it to a different Mac. I can use RipIt when I connect an external DVD drive via USB. I've also tried VLC but, I find ripping a DVD to be a kludge and, can't figure out if it's the software or, my lack of knowledge about VLC. Ah, if only I could go back to the days of "it just WORKS". :oldfogey:

There are methods to rip a modern DVD using Handbrake and VLC.

MakeMKV is a good option for BR.

So I'm told!
