Every time we need to go shopping, we figure we have to buy it if any is on the shelves as it seems we have to become hoarders because of the hoarders.

I think that's a huge part of the supply problem.

It's a reflex one has to control.

I'm trying to work up the energy to try Costco again, and if they're issuing a package, I'll get another.

Same with paper towels, though I use a lot more of them.

So much for reflex control.

I see TP at both grocery stores I frequent every time I shop there. The last 2 times at Fred Meyer (Kroger) they even had several freestanding pallets stacked 6 feet tall in multiple locations.

You need to send some of that here! We still have empty shelves in the Detroit area. I have enough for 5, maybe 6 weeks, and that's if we don't get dysentery!

Now I know where all the t. p., that's advertised as being manufactured in factories running 24/7, is going...
I suspect you'll start seeing more on the shelves in your area in the near future, I posted this to another thread yesterday. In my area (SF Bay) I think the spike of hoarding/fear based demand is flattening and supply is catching up. And I've also seen that limits on purchases of water have been removed. But Costco still had a limit of 1 on eggs.

TP seems to be intermittantly available but I have yet to see hand sanitizer anywhere.

I saw Toilet Paper at all three shopping stops this morning, Costco, Safeway, and Walmart. Costco had their normal Kirkland brand, Walmart had some national brands like Scott, but Safeway had some weird stuff, one was made from bamboo.

Wait. You bought 3 packs of 36 rolls? 108 rolls total?

And converting two-ply into twice as much one-ply will also make it last longer.
