I think the Waters line was more a judge telling the defense that the Waters quote had no affect on THIS trial - if you wanna use that, maybe you can in a retrial, but not here - that was the impression I got, but the media went in a different direction.

An attorney on tv who believes that Chauvin is guilty and will be found guilty is concerned that her comments may be grounds to throw the trial out.

Edit: To be clear, I don't support Chauvin or his actions. What he did was wrong, period.

But his bail has been revoked, too.

And yet, shows no remorse.

His initial defense was likely provided by his union. Now that he is convicted, he is no longer in the union and I seriously doubt they will foot the bill for appeals.
