Pilots say new U.S. stealth fighter has no equal

Bradenton Herald, by Melissa Nelson

The Air Force's new F-22A Raptor is such a dominant fighter jet that in mock dogfights its
pilots typically take on six F-15 Eagles at once. Despite the favorable odds, the F-15s, still one
of the world's most capable fighters, are no contest for the fastest radar-evading stealth jet ever
built.

The world's superpower, becoming even more powerful.

Let's build thousands of them.

These new jets are perfect for shooting down suitcase nukes in Manhattan and dog-fighting with crude bombs buried along the road from the airport to Baghdad.

Pretty exciting stuff. I bet the F-15 pilots are fighting to get in line.

In 2005, the F15 is at best, a 2nd Rate Fighter. The Sukoi Fighters consistently "shot down" F15's in Indian-USA Air Force Games...

Actually had a piece on them on the news the other night and this point was brought up.

Answer from squad commander was they are not meant for internal war on terror but for issues that "may" come up in the future with China and North Korea.

I have a feeling that it may get even more nasty out there and that we ain't seen nothin' yet.

At $350 million dollars each, they'd better get good gas milage!

$20 billion spent on the 56 now in service and lots more on order adding up to $43 Billion more over the next 5 years.

All to dogfight with those darned Soviets. When will this cold war end?!!
