By all means let's not allow the appearance that there is such a thing as ghetto life in the good ol USA.
Keep that nose above the stench.

If nothing else, it is symptomatic of a "dumbing down" of the populace.
Really, "ghetto" is the only word you can think of to convey what you are trying to say? You want to fight for your right to be inarticulate?

I come here mostly to unwind, escape, and procrastinate. At work. I'll find a different word. Just give a sign when you're posting from work and I'll use a different word. Are there not other fora out there where posters are using much more dastardly words than "BUXTEMHALTER"? Low hanging fruit . . .

Black,
And therein lies my concern with ghetto. It isn't an adjective. It never was nor will be an adjective. $tevie is right on the money. When people use ghetto as an adjective, it is slang and derogatory at best and definitely not the most fitting choice when it comes to expressing displeasure with a company. I know you are more articulate than the average person and can definitely find a better word or phrase. I was surprised that you used it in the first place. Robert

I was actually addressing billb with that last post, sorry I did not quote him but instead assumed the proximity to his post made that clear. As for the rest of my posts, they were directed at the use of the term "ghetto" as an adjective anytime anywhere, your name did not come up at all.

Bill,
I'm not sure you do unless your last post was done in humor. It's hard to tell without a smiley. Robert |
